SPA endeavours to provide quality resources to our Members via this secure site. As a condition of use, no member is to facilitate access for non-members. Username and passwords must be kept confidential. Members adhere to SPA’s Disclaimer.
Terms of Use for Forums and Profiles
The Forums are intended to focus Member discussion on pertinent topics relating to suicide and self-harm prevention and to encourage constructive dialogue, debate, collaboration and information sharing between members. Members Profiles are intended to allow Members, at their own discretion, to share information about their areas of interest and contact details with other Members, in order to facilitate collaboration and networking.
Contributions to the Forums will be moderated by SPA staff to ensure they reflect the values of SPA. However, the views expressed by members on the Forum do not in any way reflect the views of SPA or its staff, and we do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message.
SPA will not censor opinions expressed on the Forum merely because they are at odds with the public position of SPA, or the views of its staff or management, unless the opinions are expressed in ways that violate the organisations values, and/or are inconsistent with these terms of access and use. SPA may choose to post a public response to a members’ contribution in order to make clear SPA’s position on the subject. If a post is removed, the member will be sent notification and informed of the reasons.
Members must not use the Forum or their Profile to post material which is inappropriate, offensive or contrary to any applicable laws or standards including material which is obscene or indecent; depicts violence, sexual activity or pornography; or contains instructions in crime or drug use; defames, harasses, abuses or offends any person; infringes the copyright or property of any person; contains a virus or other code that has harmful or destructive properties. Although we attempt to moderate all messages, we cannot be held responsible for any messages posted.
