American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide. The website offers statistics, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and a section on surviving suicide loss with information and survivor stories.

International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP)

IASP is dedicated to preventing suicidal behaviour, to alleviate its effects, and to provide a forum for academians, mental health professionals, crisis workers, volunteers and suicide survivors. The website provides research papers, news, conferences, publications, newsletter and peer-reviewed journal.

SAVE – Suicide Awareness Voices of Education

SAVE is an American organisation, offering a website with a wide range of information on suicide prevention including programs, activities, education, awareness programs, news and events, reading lists, book reviews and a community action kit.

Suicide Prevention Action Network USA (SPAN USA)

This American organisation is dedicated to preventing suicide through public education and awareness, community action and grassroots advocacy, and looks to engage suicide survivors. The website offers a range of information for the bereaved.

Suicide Prevention Information New Zealand (SPINZ)

SPINZ is New Zealand’s national information service and its main role is to provide high quality information to promote safe and effective suicide prevention activities.

Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC)

The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) is part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services suicide prevention strategy. The website provides information on prevention support, training, and an extensive resource library.

World Health Organisation, SUPRE, Suicide Prevention program

SUPRE is the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) suicide prevention project. The overall objective of the program is to reduce mortality and morbidity due to suicidal behaviours, to break the taboo surrounding suicide, and to bring together national authorities and the public in an integrated manner to overcome the challenges.
