What are the LIFE Awards?

The LIFE Awards, held annually in conjuntion with International World Suicide Prevention Day, recognise the outstanding contribution to suicide prevention in Australia.

The Awards are a prestigious national event that attract guests from all areas including business, industry, media, business government, youth and medicine - all with an interest in suicide prevention.

Each year we receive nominations from all over Australia which showcase the exciting, new, innovative and diverse range of programs that are being undertaken within the field.

It is great each year to see a wide spectrum on nominations that range from the more mainstream programs, but also local "grass root" programs that are vital to aiding in the reduction of suicide within our communities.

Each year we strive to receive more nominations than in previous years, and in 2010 we hope to achieve this again.

This year SPA is bring the Awards back to Sydney. Being held at the Sydney Opera House on the evening on Saturday September 11th.

PLEASE NOTE: The LIFE Awards are an invite only event.
